Terms of Use

These terms apply to the PhotoSteps Android application operated by Miha Kocevar in Slovenia. By using PhotoSteps, you agree to these terms. Mandatory rights provided by applicable consumer law remain unaffected.

What PhotoSteps provides

PhotoSteps is a local tool for creating ordered photo projects with captions and PDF exports. The free release does not provide an account, cloud storage, automatic backup, collaboration service, or professional repair advice.

Permitted use

You may use PhotoSteps for lawful personal or business documentation. You may not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use it to create, store, or distribute content that violates law or another person's rights.

Your content

You retain your rights in photographs, text, and guides you create. You are responsible for having permission to photograph, store, export, and share the content and for protecting confidential or personal information. PhotoSteps processes content locally to provide the features you request and does not claim ownership of it.

Safety and accuracy

Your guides reflect the photographs and instructions you provide. PhotoSteps does not inspect, verify, or guarantee that a guide is complete, safe, or suitable for a particular repair or procedure. Follow manufacturer instructions, disconnect hazardous power or pressure sources, use appropriate protective equipment, and seek a qualified professional where injury, fire, electrical, structural, vehicle, medical, or other serious risk is possible.

Local storage and backups

You are responsible for your device, available storage, backups, and exported copies. Deleting the app, clearing app storage, device failure, operating-system behavior, or a failed transfer may remove local projects. PhotoSteps does not promise recovery. Exported PDFs and gallery images must be managed separately.

Third-party services

Android, Google Play, device backup services, document providers, gallery apps, email clients, and share destinations are provided by third parties under their own terms. PhotoSteps is not responsible for their availability or handling of content you direct to them.

Availability and changes

Features may be corrected, improved, changed, or discontinued. A later release may offer optional paid features under clearly presented store terms, while access promised to qualifying early installations will be handled by that release. There is no commitment to a particular update schedule or support response time.

Disclaimer and limitation

To the extent permitted by law, PhotoSteps is provided without guarantees that it will always be available, error-free, or suitable for every purpose. The operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost content, failed repairs, or damage caused by relying on incomplete or inaccurate user-created instructions. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.

Termination

You may stop using PhotoSteps and uninstall it at any time. The operator may limit distribution or support where necessary for legal, security, or platform-policy reasons. Sections concerning content responsibility, safety, disclaimers, and governing law continue where their nature requires it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Slovenian law, without depriving consumers of protections that apply under the mandatory law of their country of residence. Parties should first try to resolve concerns through the support contact below.
